Convert image to ASCII in Linux

jp2a is a small, open source utility that converts JPEG images to ASCII. You can specify a list of image files and URLs and this tool will convert all of them into ascii characters right away.

Installation

sudo apt-get install jp2a

Usage

Here we will convert the below image red.jpg to ascii.

To convert,

jp2a red.jpg
